Meet Nabeel Ahmed

Nabeel is the real deal. He encompasses everything the TMC Club is about - kindness, collaboration, evolution, determination and so much more. Nabeel became funded, alongside his lovely partner & fellow TMC Trader, Samantha, in July 2021 (just 2 years after joining Trading MasterClass). But for Nabeel, trading is about so much more than just making money... It's about creating freedom, building generational wealth, and becoming better each day. Take some notes as you review this amazing interview, and make sure to connect with Nabeel in the club!

When did your trading journey first begin?

I couldn’t tell you the exact moment, but what I can tell you is that it took me between 3-4 years to commit and take trading seriously. I used to think I wasted a lot of time, but looking back, it was all a blessing in disguise.

2018 was when my full-time journey started, but not your typical full-time journey. I quit my job as a Real Estate Agent to hunt for something bigger and better, at that time I already had a slight perception of what trading was through my father and IP, but still had never committed to trading at that point. The years that followed quitting, my partner and I went on a journey to find a way to create income and autonomy, one of the first things we started digging into was E-Commerce. We spent some time committing to that, but it never felt exciting or fulfilling and I never knew why, and the universe kept bringing us back to trading, whether that was IP promotional emails, social media, my father or even a friend of mine who had brought it back up to our attention. A combination of all that lead us to trying it out. As many newbies have experienced; we hit the ground running, making hundreds, and thousands of dollars with no stop losses and oversizing positions. That compelled me to jump onto the notorious compounding calculator, crunch some numbers and realize that I’ll be a millionaire in 12 months if I kept those returns coming. Within 2 weeks, I blew that account and went straight to trading demo accounts.

At that chapter in my life, I had always quit on things if they didn’t work out straight away because I never understood the importance of consistency and was a slave to instant gratification. As Irek would call it, I had the ‘shiny ball syndrome’. This time was different, I couldn’t tell you what was different but to quit on trading and to move on didn’t even cross my mind like it typically did.

What was even more special is that the universe guided us to Trading MasterClass right when they were offering a free trial, which was perfect because we had just blown our money through our trading account.

There is an image of an email thread below of me asking Molly if she could offer me a payment plan at some point after the free trial had expired. I had no money, no job, living with my parents, $30,000 owing in finance for a car I didn’t have, and approx. $20,000 of court warrants & fines from driving offences and had no clue how I was going to pay any of it. Molly’s visualization worked; I found a way to join.

What was it that made you want to pursue trading?

After my father had moved to Australia from Pakistan in the early-mid 1980s, he came with nothing and drove taxis for approx. 25-30 years which resulted in always being in a lack of abundance mindset and always living in fear of losing everything he worked hard for. This only ever made things financially challenging for him no matter how hard he worked, and how much he earnt, it never seemed to be enough because he was always in living in lack. All it needed was a change of perspective.

Seeing this unfold over so many years, I learnt one thing, and that was what I don’t want, which is just as important as knowing what you do want. Achieving an abundance of time, wealth, health & choice, for both my family and myself is my vision & trading supported me to achieve that.

"Achieving an abundance of time, wealth, health & choice, for both my family and myself is my vision."
What is something unexpected that you love about trading?

I used to only think it’ll be a vehicle for wealth creation, but the best part about trading is not just the wealth that you can create, but it’s become an obsessive pursuit in becoming a better me.

I used to never care what I ate, what time I woke up or slept, never meditated and didn’t focus on personal growth mentally, physically or spiritually. All it took was this one experiment with eliminating sugars and junk out of my diet and moving to a plant-based diet which just showed me that the more I focus on improving myself, the more my trading will follow.

Trading is a reflection of myself; the more I focus on personal development whether mentally or physically the more my trading thrives.

What are one to three books that have profoundly impacted your journey? Why?

Think & Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill

This book made me learn that success does not just require working hard on your idea, but it requires a unique level of dedication to succeed. It becomes personal.

It opened my mind to the importance of faith, constantly gaining knowledge in your skill regardless of how good you think you are, the idea of visualization, and lastly persistence & patience.

Ask and It Is Given by Esther & Jerry Hicks

It’s simple, this book should be read by everyone. I resonated with this book a lot, and it really brought a lot of insight into manifestation, through examples which hit home, and by also presenting exercises in the book regardless of where you are emotionally.

I also want to mention Impact Theory on Youtube by Tom Bilyeu, he has an abundance of invaluable information there. He interviews guests anywhere from doctors of all backgrounds such as Dr. Joe Dispenza, Billionaires such as Ray Dalio, Fitness and psychological ground-breakers such as David Goggins and even Former monks for instance Jay Shetty. There is a long list of interviews where we can soak up information that can make a profound impact.

Lastly, I am obsessed with Dr. Andrew Huberman from Huberman Lab podcasts. He gives amazing insight into neuroscience and how we can use our brain to our advantage in our everyday life through certain exercises, tools and changes we can make which can drastically improve focus, performance, mood, behavior, and our overall daily life. His delivery allows the process of listening to become addictive.

What new belief, behaviour, or habit has helped you gain the most forward momentum since becoming a trader?

I couldn’t tell you one. It’s the consistent implementation and evolving of habits, behaviors or beliefs that create this compounding affect that ultimately looks like you have made a quantum jump once time passes.

I have a tendency to always change or adapt new habits or behaviors as I get bored quite easily but will always keep a few constant. I enjoy changing things up whether that’s my routine, diet, or even as simple as my hair style. I’ll always change things up relevant to what I think is appropriate for me at the time that makes me feel good, allows me to be at peak performance and allows me to grow.

I believe there is a correlation between behavior, beliefs, and daily habits which is why I focus on creating habits that make me happy and feel good so that it’ll give me and allow me to maintain that energy throughout the day through my beliefs and behaviors. Some of these things are my 5-6am sunrise walks when everyone is asleep, it brings me a sense of harmony, clarity and focus for the rest of the day. My obsession with the hate of running. As much as I hate and dread it, these 10-20kms in winter nights or summer days allows me to build calluses in my mind, which overtime builds resilience and discipline and has a neurobiological relationship with enabling one to execute lengthy bouts of hard and focused work whilst maintaining the energy and clarity throughout it. Lastly, meditation and diet for the obvious reasons.

What advice would you give to an inspired, driven individual about to step into the trading world?

You need an athlete’s mindset for this. If you have a backup plan, get rid of it. Be the master of your craft, be the Michael Jordan, Muhammad Ali, Cristiano Ronaldo, Arnold Schwarzenegger, or even the Irek Piekarski & Jonny Godfrey of trading. How so? Watch what they do. Commit, practice & adjust until it works and most importantly, never stop evolving.

How has Trading MasterClass assisted your evolution?

I joined thinking I’ll learn to trade but I was wrong, I also quite literally learnt how to live.

It’s what got me to where I am, in both trading and psychological. It opened me up to the love for evolving, plasticity, growth and being a better me but most importantly pushing others to become a better them.

It also humiliated me because it grounded me and taught me what’s more important in life; a Lamborghini isn’t, generational wealth, peace, gratitude, abundance, happiness, and autonomy is. The Lamborghini will come, but it comes after all of that. It’s a bonus, not the focus.

What is your next immediate trading goal?

My focus is on building and compounding both my trading and crypto accounts even further than where it is. I’m going to push for levels I never imagined to be possible years ago, but I’m just enjoying the process of this right now and focusing on personal development and lifestyle changes. But who knows, I say that now, but it may change next month. One thing is for sure though, the learning and growing continues.

Any final words of wisdom?

My favorite quote that I apply in my day-to-day life, from pushing that one more km in a run, or even back testing that one last pair.

“Going in one more round when you don’t think you can - that’s what makes all the difference in your life.” - Rocky Balboa

And this...

“Hold a picture of yourself long and steadily enough in your mind's eye, and you will be drawn toward it.” - Napoleon Hill
